A Professional Learning Workshop for Early Childhood Educators
Pedagogical leadership is the design, delivery and evaluation of early childhood programs, their curriculum and pedagogy. Curriculum begins with a clear vision that includes a unified purpose, philosophy and values. Pedagogical leadership supports the vision into action.
Change does not happen on its own: it must come from a sector’s champions, its leaders. Concurrently, pedagogy impacts the children, families and community that we support. By bridging the actions of the leaders with the needs of the centre, and the community it sustains, this workshop will focus on looking at the characteristics of an effective pedagogical leader, and making connections to effective pedagogical leadership strategies that support a holistic program.
