Seeking: Great ECE Jobs - How to find work that meets YOUR needs
Join the AECEO and our partners at SECEO and the OCBCC on May 6th and 11th for this special workshop where we turn the job search process on its head by centering YOU, ECEs and child care workers. Click here to register!
In this innovative two-part workshop, we’re turning the traditional job search on its head, by centering you. Instead of asking “Will they hire me?”, we’re asking “Is this a good place to work?”
May 6th - Session 1: Defining Decent Work
What makes a job “good” and an employer “great”? We’ll dive into how to identify workplaces that are fair, stable and supportive. We’ll discover what it means to find a job that aligns with who YOU want to be as an educator, and yes, we talk about jobs that pay you enough to live well, because wages do matter! Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to use your ECE magic for the first time, or you are looking for a job that gives you more of what you need, join us to talk about what you can look for!
May 11th - Session 2: Resume Building & Interview Prep
Now that you know what you’re looking for, let’s get you there. We’ll walk through resume building, specifically when applying for an ECEC job, and chat about what to expect in an interview. You’ll leave with the tools to speak about your unique and amazing practice with the confidence you deserve!
These sessions are open for anyone - RECEs, child care workers, students, new grads - to attend at no cost. If you'd like to support this kind of initiative, please consider becoming a member of the AECEO.
