Child Care is a hot issue in the federal election. There has never been a better time to push for a quality, public child care system for Ontario. Economist Jim Stanford and sociologist/activist Susan Prentice will discuss why child care is an economic no-brainer, and how to win the child care system that Ontario families deserve.

Day 2 - Moving Ontario Child Care Forward: Where have we been? Where do we go?

We’re bringing together a mix of academic, activist and community leaders to discuss recent changes to child care in Ontario and how to move forward together. We’ll explore Ontario child care in the context of the federal election and how to take our vision of child care from dream to reality. It’s about time!

Panel One – Review and Reflect

The opening panel will explore the significant changes to ECEC in Ontario over the past five years and the impact of these changes for licensed child care.
