Associate Director - Community Programs

Family Day is a non-profit Early Learning Agency. As a multi‐faceted organization, it provides a broad range of services for children and their families living in the GTA, York Region and Peel Region. 

The Position: 

Reporting to the Director, Development & Programs, this newly created position is the result of the growth and the increased need for the services of Family Day Care Services across the GTA. 

The Associate Director, Community Programs is responsible for the leadership of Family Day’s eight (8) programs and services. Providing leadership in the co-ordination, planning and delivery of Early Learning and Care programs and services, the successful candidate will oversee five (5) Program Managers who in turn each manage teams of up to 20.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

• Strong leadership skills and experience on a senior management team 
• Non-profit experience and strong people management experience 
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills. Strong visionary and strategic thinking skills with the ability to implement the strategic directions of the organization 
• Knowledge and understanding of the early childhood sector 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills 
• Strong financial literacy 
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills to represent the interests of Family Day both internally and externally 
• Sound knowledge, understanding and ability in evaluation, measurement and outcomes 
• Working knowledge of social media and related technology
