Born out of the absence of formalized training programs for day nursery staff, the AECEO has been involved in the creation of Ontario's first ECE training programs and providing ongoing professional development for child care staff in Ontario since the 1950's. Today, the AECEO continues this commitment to standards and professionalism through its services and projects:

With the recent release of the Early Learning Report, changes to the early learning and care system as we now know it in Ontario are inevitable.
