During this two-day interactive module, participants take part in a detailed analysis of the purpose, benefits and regulations of the Day Nurseries Act and other pertinent legislation which govern the operation of child care in Ontario.
Participants explore licensing processes and outcomes and roles of all stakeholders in the licensing process. The course is designed to refresh and update the knowledge of individuals currently working in the child care profession in Ontario and to ensure that workers entering the profession from outside the province have a solid understanding of Ontario’s requirements and processes.
This module is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Sector Initiative Fund.
Participants who are present for both days of the module receive an AECEO Professional Development Certificate.
This pilot project has been offered in Ottawa (French), and Windsor and Toronto (English).
