The Association of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario (AECEO) began the certification process in 1964. This process has evolved with the needs of the early learning sector for the past 46 years.
There are two intake periods within a calendar year for certification: March 1-30 and September 1-30. This is an 18-month process that includes an essay and portfolio submission.
