The Association of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario (AECEO) began the certification process in 1964. This process has evolved with the needs of the early learning sector for the past 47 years.
There are two intake periods within a calendar year for certification: March 1-30 and September 1-30. This is an 18-month process that includes an essay and portfolio submission.

Important Dates
(Dates below apply to March 2011 applicants only)
March 1–30, 2011: Registration – Send Registration Form & copy of diploma or Letter of Equivalency
April 15, 2011: Applicants will receive Certification package by mail
May 19, 2011: “Part One” Application and 1st payment installment due ($100)
October 30, 2011: Essay submission and 2nd payment installment due ($125)
October 30, 2012: Professional Portfolio submission due
