Becoming an ECE

Becoming an Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

The Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007 (schedule 8 of Bill 187: Budget Measures and Interim Appropriation Act, 2007) established a new regulatory body for the early childhood profession in Ontario. This regulatory body is called the College of Early Childhood Educators (College of ECE).

As stipulated by the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007, an individual wishing to become an Early Childhood Educator in Ontario must be trained in a program accepted by the College of ECE, and must be a member of the College.

To learn more about becoming an ECE, please visit the College of ECE at: www.collegeofece.on.ca
