The AECEO is a member driven organization. The Provincial Office’s role is to implement, support and maintain the services, policies, and directives of the AECEO as dictated by the elected Board of Directors. AECEO Branches represent local and regional areas in Ontario that have a concentration of AECEO members. AECEO Branches were formed to provide in a local/regional level:
1) A voice for Early Childhood Educators
2) Mentorship opportunities with other professionals and with ECE students
3) Leadership Development Opportunities
4) Professional Development Opportunities
5) Capacity Building with other local/regional organizations and communities
6) Capacity Building with local OCAAT (Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology) ECE Departments.
7) Recognition of the achievements of individuals and programs
AECEO members may, if they so desire and in accordance with the AECEO Constitution and By-laws, annually elect some members to represent their Branch. These members form the Branch Executive. These elected volunteers organize and facilitate additional local/regional opportunities for their members beyond the services already provided by the Provincial Office.
As part of our strategic plan and membership services, the AECEO developed websites for each of our independent and assisted branches.
